World Lung Cancer Day – In Focus with Stephanie and Chloë

Today is World Lung Cancer Day, raising awareness about the signs of lung cancer, as well as educating us about risk factors and the treatments available.

We are incredibly proud to fund two specialist nurses who care for and support those from across Northern Ireland who are affected by this complex disease. From diagnosis, through treatment, and into survivorship or end of life care, Stephanie and Chloë are on hand to support patients, their families and carers.

Stephanie and Chloë do this by acting as key workers to provide physical, emotional, psychosocial and spiritual support. They offer care and support during diagnosis, through facilitating nurse-led clinics, supporting consultant reviews and providing end of life care. If you would like to help us support more people affected by cancer, through roles like Stephanie & Chloë’s, why not get involved in one of our upcoming fundraising events, including our Slieve Donard Challenge this September. Visit ‘Our Events’ on the ‘Fundraise’ section of our website for more information.
