Makeup Masterclass with MAC

Friends of the Cancer Centre is delighted to partner with MAC at Victoria Square to offer those currently undergoing cancer treatment an exclusive makeup masterclass.

Join us on Thursday, 8th August at 6pm to learn how to create an easy natural beauty look, including a demonstration of some useful techniques from the MAC team to help manage the visible side-effects of cancer treatment, such as loss of eyebrows and eyelashes.

The MAC team will be providing a 2 hour masterclass, tailored to suit some of the specific needs of people going through treatment, covering:

  • Skin care, with a focus on sensitive or irritated skin.
  • Foundation, powder, blush & lips.
  • A simple eye look tailored to people who may have lost their eyelashes through treatment.
  • The perfect brow, with a demonstration on how you can create a natural look if you have lost your brows.

The event will kick off at 6pm with some light refreshments on level 1 of the Cancer Centre, before the masterclass at 6.30pm. The evening will finish with a Q&A with the MAC team, and there will also be opportunity to have a skin care and brows demo with an artist.

Due to the tailored nature of the masterclass, the event is most appropriate for those currently undergoing treatment for any type of cancer. There are limited numbers available for this session, and tickets will be limited to a maximum of 2 per person.
