Launching our fantastic new partnership with PA Consulting

We are delighted to announce our new partnership with global innovation and transformation consultancy, PA Consulting in Belfast (PA). This year, PA’s Belfast office, which delivers digital and public sector projects across a wide range of sectors including healthcare, will help support our vital work by taking part in a variety of the charity’s fundraising events and holding their own events.

Our corporate fundraising manager, Ana Wilkinson, said:

“We are delighted to partner with PA Consulting in Belfast throughout 2019 and to work alongside its employees and clients to raise funds and awareness to support local people affected by cancer. We believe that little things can have a big impact and money raised from the partnership will make an incredible difference to people when they really need that extra bit of support. People may face a range of difficulties when going through cancer treatment, such as financial pressures and a grant from Friends of the Cancer Centre can help patients cover household bills, travel costs and much, much more. For others, a cup of tea and a newspaper is enough to help pass the time while waiting on appointments. The charity also helps in big ways and has invested over £1 million over the past three years to help support locally led cancer research, aimed at finding new and improved ways to treat cancer and improve quality of life for patients.”

Looking ahead to fundraising for the charity, Alan Millar, digital expert at PA Consulting said:

As PA Consulting continues its rapid growth in Belfast, we are delighted to be partnering with  local charity, Friends of the Cancer Centre. We are pleased to be able to help in the efforts to provide vital support for hundreds of cancer patients as well raising awareness amongst our team, our clients and the wider community. The PA team has already kicked off the partnership by taking part in the Belfast City Marathon and raising £911. As every £5 raised could enable Friends of the Cancer Centre to provide 21 people with a welcoming cuppa, we are delighted to know that we have already helped make a difference to over 3,800 people. Later this month, we will get involved in Friends of the Cancer Centre’s ‘Talking Balls’ campaign, highlighting the importance of men’s health checks through this new initiative.”
