This summer, we were delighted to receive a donation of over £3,500 from a coffee morning held at Mullughdun Parish Hall.

The event was held in memory of Neville Gamble who passed away in November 2019.

The coffee morning was attended by Neville’s father, Jim Gamble, who has been a key supporter of the charity for over 37 years and is a highly respected member of the local community.

We are so grateful to everyone involved in organising this fantastic event, with special thanks to Heather Carson and her daughter Elaine, all those at Mullughdun Church of Ireland and members of the Fermanagh Fundraising Group who showed their support.

Since its foundation, the charity’s Fermanagh Fundraising Group has raised over £870,000. Attending the coffee morning, our Chief Executive, Colleen Shaw, gave thanks to Jim Gamble and Avril Graham, talking of their longstanding friendship with the charity and the inspiration they have been to other people to join the local fundraising group.

Geraldine Corrigan, Chairperson for the Fermanagh Fundraising Group spoke on behalf of the group, saying: “I want to thank Jim for all that he has been and he continues to be to our group. If there were more Jim Gambles in the world, it would certainly be a better place.”
