Tee off for charity golf day
Alderman Allan Ewart and Alderman Paul Porter from Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council have teamed up with Café Vic-Ryn to call on local golfers to sign-up and take part in their upcoming charity golf day at Lisburn Golf Club.
The Café Vic-Ryn Golf Classic takes place on Friday, 18th September and all proceeds from the event are in aid of Friends of the Cancer Centre. The event is open to the public and they want you to get involved. A four ball for the day is £160 and local businesses also have an opportunity to get involved by sponsoring a hole for just £200. Tee box times will start from 10.00 am and the price includes a round of golf at the beautiful inland Lisburn Golf Club, and a presentation dinner that evening.
Looking forward to the day on the green, Alderman Ewart said:
“The Café Vic-Ryn Golf Classic is shaping up to be a great day and as well as having fun on the course, we’ll also be raising vital funds for a great charity which makes a real difference to the lives of local people affected by cancer.
“Places are already filling up fast so make sure you don’t miss your chance to be part of this great event. If you would like any further information or to register you can contact me directly by emailing [email protected].
Alderman Ewart and Café Vic-Ryn are great supporters of Friends of the Cancer Centre and this event is just one of many that have supported our work and raised vital funds in recent years.
Colleen Shaw, chief executive of Friends of the Cancer Centre said:
“Alderman Ewart and Café Vic-Ryn have been great supporters of Friends of the Cancer Centre over the years and we’re delighted that they are again holding what is set to be a great event in aid of the charity. I’d like to thank Allan and Café Vic-Ryn for their wonderful support and I’d encourage all golfers out there to sign-up and be part of the day.”
