Sprucefield Shopping Centre’s Santa Grotto raises £25,000 over last 3 years

Thousands of families visited Santa’s Grotto at Sprucefield Shopping Centre in December and while visiting Santa at Sprucefield was free, generous shoppers donated £11,000 to support our work with local families. The record-breaking total surpassed the previous year’s donations of £8,000 and takes the overall amount over three years to a grand total of £25,000.

Our Corporate Fundraising Manager, Ana Wilkinson said, “We’d like to thank Sprucefield shoppers for their overwhelming generosity in the run up to Christmas. Due to their kindness we’re able to support even more local families attending the Cancer Centre this year. This money will make a real difference to children in Northern Ireland living with cancer. As well as thanking everyone who donated, we would like to say a huge thank you to the team at Sprucefield Centre for their continued support.”

Tim, Honeyford, Centre Manager at Sprucefield Shopping Centre added, “The number of donations this year had been fantastic, and we’re delighted that so much money has been raised for such a brilliant charity. The work of the Friends of the Cancer Centre makes a real and lasting difference to the lives of thousands of local people affected by cancer and we’re glad that our Christmas Grotto has helped support this great work for another year.”
