Coming to a radio near you

Monday, 8 February 2016

Friends of the Cancer Centre has teamed up Belfast’s newest radio station Belfast 89FM to bring you all the latest news from the charity.

We will join the station’s presenters over the new few months to offer an insight into the work of the charity and the amazing work that takes place in the Cancer Centre every day.

Belfast 89FM launched in June last year and is the latest addition to Northern Ireland’s airwaves broadcasting in the greater Belfast area.  It is the only local station dedicated to the over 55s and music from the ‘60s and ‘70s, as well as offering listeners news and stories that matter to them.  Expats can also listen online around the world at www.belfast89.com

Looking ahead to the new partnership, John Rosborough, Managing Director of Belfast 89FM, said:

“Like so many people, many of our listeners will have been touched by cancer at some point in their lives.  We know that they care about local issues and they want to make a difference to their own community, so we’re really looking forward to increasing the awareness of the fantastic work of Friends of the Cancer Centre and the impact the charity is having on local cancer services and most importantly, local cancer patients.”
