Sunday the 29th May 2022 saw 80 brave superheroes abseil 190ft down Belfast City Hospital’s iconic yellow Tower Block and raise vital funds to support our work.
We are delighted to let you know that, thanks to their support, the Take On The Tower Abseil raised almost £60,000. And thanks to the generosity of the events sponsors, Warmflow Home Heating Solutions, all of the money raised will go directly to supporting local families impacted by cancer.
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part in the abseil and to everyone who sponsored the participants. You can check out the photos of our superheroes below!
For every £25 raised, the charity could provide one hour of enhanced nursing care from our team of specialist nurses. So by raising £60,000, this could for example enable Friends of the Cancer Centre to fund 2,400 hours of vital nursing care.
Our first public open day in a few years, on 18th Feb 10am-1pm. Please RT & share with clubs, groups, schools, friends and family! Free registration/tickets via link: https://t.co/D2cOl6QcT1 Cancer Research in Northern Ireland at @QubPGJCCR @QUBelfast @CPH_QUB with the @niscifest
