A flat fast 5K and 10K race with a junior option for 2K race, around Newtownards airfield. Entries are limited for 2024, get in early as the race sold out in 2023.

18th May
Glenarm Castle Challenge will offer runners a range of distances with a Half Marathon, a 10K and a 5K to choose from. For those who prefer to take things at a more leisurely pace, there will also be a 10K walk.
BORN2RUN’s motto is Great Races in Great Places and Glenarm Castle certainly meets the criteria. Complete with a castle dating back to 1636, the working estate offers runners a scenic mix of forest trails, farmland and views along the Glenarm river.

The cross border event is organised by Derry City and Strabane District Council attracts a field of 1200 runners annually. This year we have added a new 3 person relay element.

On Saturday 25th May 2024, the May Fair Races return! Racers of all levels will once again have the opportunity to run the roads of Ballyclare, over a distance of either 5k or 10k. You don’t want to miss it!

28th June
The Ards Half Marathon is a undulating-to-hilly run on roads and footpaths. It starts and finishes at the Ards Leisure Centre, looping through the surrounding countryside before coming back into town. Bespoke medal and t-shirt for half marathon runners. Bespoke medal for all who complete the 8 mile walk.

28th July
Hillsborough Castle & Gardens Running Festival returns, including something for the whole family with an U16 5k, adult 5k, a 10k, and a half marathon to choose from! Take the opportunity to race around this unique location! These races will start within the beautiful Grounds of Hillsborough Castle, before heading out onto the surrounding forest areas of Hillsborough and taking in historic attractions in the local area such as Hillsborough Fort and Hillsborough Lake, the half marathon & 10k will then head out on to Ballynahinch road before re-joining the Castle grounds to finish in the event village.

10th August
The Annual DAMBUSTERS race will take place on Saturday 10th August 2024 at the Silent Valley Mountain Centre. The Silent Valley is located within the Mourne area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is home to some of the most beautiful scenery in Ireland. The Valley is surrounded by dramatic mountain panoramas and includes a reservoir built in the early 1900s as well as the famous Mourne wall. (Only 30 minutes drive from Newry).

1st September
The 2024 Laganside 10k takes place on Sunday the 1st of September 2024. The race starts at 2pm and is capped at 1,500 runners. There will be a bespoke medal for every entry. The early bird entry fee is £18 . Early bird entry will close on the 3rd of June 2024. The standard entry fee will be £22. Standard entry will close on the 25th August 2024
