Hero Miles

Every year, Friends of the Cancer Centre provides over £100K of financial grants to local families. Often, these are to help with the hidden costs that a cancer diagnosis can bring. The most common cost that people living with cancer face, is the additional expense of getting to and from appointments. This can involve frequent hospital appointments, with an average round trip of 100 miles every time.

So, we’re asking you to challenge yourself to complete 100 Hero Miles and raise £200, which could help us fund a financial grant for a local family.

Taking part in Friends of the Cancer Centre’s Hero Miles Challenge is easy – simply decide how and when you are going to complete your 100 mile challenge and then, get sponsored and raise funds to help Friends of the Cancer Centre provide support and care for local people impacted by cancer.
