Will you be a Home Hero for local families?
The 2.6 Challenge is a great way to be a Home Hero for Friends of the Cancer Centre and help us support local families impacted by cancer. The great news is that this is a challenge for all ages and abilities. Simply choose an activity based around the numbers 26 or 2.6 that you can do in your own garden, living room, garage or as part of your daily exercise.
Here are some 2.6 Challenge ideas:
- Run or walk 2.6 miles
- 26 minutes of yoga
- Juggling for 26 minutes
- Doing 26 press ups
- Cycling for 26 minutes
- Run 26 miles over a week or 10 days
or choose your own challenge
- Shave your head
- Dye your hair
- Dress up Friday
- Virtual coffee morning
- Sign up for our virtual Belvoir Forest Park walk (Saturday 6th June)
Once you’ve chosen your 2.6 Challenge activity, register your justgiving page by clicking HERE . Next, share your news with friends and family to encourage them to sponsor you or do their own 2.6 challenge for Friends of the Cancer Centre. Then get active, have fun and donate whatever you can. There are no rules (apart from government guidelines on how to exercise safely during this time).
Right now, Friends of the Cancer Centre’s funded staff are working harder than ever to support local families impacted by cancer and at the same time, working alongside their NHS colleagues to ensure that people get the support they need when they need it. They are our heroes and we want you to be a Home Hero for them. By taking on a challenge you will be raising money to ensure that our staff can continue this vital work.
