From raising funds to helping raise awareness, there are lots of ways your employees can make a difference !

Why not have a virtual coffee morning. Make it part of your teams regular check in with each other over a cuppa and a bun and everyone can make a donation. Every £5 donated (the same as buying a coffee and a bun in your local coffee shop) could enable Friends of the Cancer Centre to provide a welcoming cuppa for 21 patients attending for treatment. There are so many ways your company and employees can still support us. If you would like to find out more, please call Ana Wilkinson on 07775688291

Applegreen in Northern Ireland chose Friends of the Cancer Centre as their charity partner for 2018/19 and have now extended their support into 2020. Employees and customers from Applegreen stores across Northern Ireland will be raising money to support our work with young people affected by cancer, by helping fund vital nursing hours.

Why not take Friends of the Cancer Centre on as your company or organisation’s charity of the year?

As your charity of the year, we will help you plan events that will not only raise money for the charity, but also generate some fun and maybe even some friendly competition amongst your team. Check out some of the companies proudly supporting our work here.

Did you know that you can support Friends of the Cancer Centre while you work?

Many companies let their staff select a charity to focus all their fundraising activities on each year. Staff then come together to hold their own events, or even take part in some of the charity's own events, to raise money for their charity of choice.

If your place of work has an employee charity of the year, we would love you to rally your colleagues together to vote for Friends of the Cancer Centre. Get in touch with us on 07775688291 if you'd like to find out how you and your colleagues can get involved in fundraising and awareness raising activities.

With the support of our dedicated corporate fundraising manager, we can let you know how your support is making a difference to local people and their families affected by cancer.

What is Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving is a great way to donate to Friends of the Cancer Centre, as your donation is made before any tax deductions.  For example, if you want to give a regular gift of £5 only £4 will be deducted from your salary each month.  You can find out if your employer operates the Give as Your Earn scheme by contacting your Payroll Department.  If your employer isn't registered, please contact Friends of the Cancer Centre for information on alternative ways to donate.

Over the course of a year, your donation of £5 per month could provide a cuppa for 252 people.

It's very easy to join.  Simply click here, complete the online form and submit.  Once the form has been processed, Payroll Giving in Action will forward a copy to your employer who will then arrange for your donation to be deducted from your next available salary.  Friends of the Cancer Centre will receive your donation on a regular basis at no cost to the charity.

Even if your place of work doesn’t have a charity partner or an employee charity, you can still rally your work mates and take on one of our challenges as a great team building exercise. Why not take part in Everesting Stormont - our new, team realy challenge?

From skydives to walks in the park, we have events to suit everyone and anyone. Not only will you create a great buzz in the office, but you’ll also be raising money for a charity that helps local people with cancer.

We have events throughout the year and you can check out what we have coming up on our events page.
