We are delighted to announce that A&O Shearman Belfast have raised a fantastic £45,800 for Friends of the Cancer Centre, through a two-year community fundraising and volunteering partnership.
The money was raised through a range of fundraising activities, including colleagues taking part in our annual Superhero Abseil and Slieve Donard Challenge, as well as Colleagues holding their own events, including bake-off competitions, raffles, coffee mornings and quizzes and much more. The staff at A&O Belfast were also very generous with their time, with more than 150 staff volunteering at events and charity collections, to raise awareness of the charity as well as vital funds.
The incredible support from everyone at A&O Shearman Belfast has enabled Friends of the Cancer Centre to make a difference to even more families throughout Northern Ireland over the past two years. The £45,800 donation raised could enable Friends of the Cancer Centre to provide 1,200 hours of specialist nursing care, support 60 local families with grants and provide almost 3,500 cups of tea and coffee for people attending the NI Cancer Centre and the North West Cancer Centre for treatment.
Thank you to A&O Shearman Belfast for being a fantastic charity partner and to every staff member who supported us through the partnership, we really appreciate the support.
