Be A Friend and help us mark our 35th anniversary

This year marks Friends of the Cancer Centre’s 35th anniversary. For over three decades, Friends of the Cancer Centre has been proudly supporting families across Northern Ireland funding 35 additional members of staff, vital equipment, life-saving research and much, much more.

The last few months in particular have highlighted just how important the charity’s work is. The vital staff we proudly fund continued to treat and care for patients through the most challenging of times, ensuring they had support when they needed it most. This is thanks to your friendship.

However, we are now facing an unprecedented time for the charity, as for the first time in our history we have had to cancel events and are faced with a significant fall in income. In our 35th year, we need your friendship and support more than ever.

Ahead of Friendship Day on 30th July, we are asking you to #BeAFriend and to raise vital funds to support our work. From taking part in our 10K a Day Challenge or getting on your bike, to making a donation or becoming a regular donor – whatever you do will make a difference.

Your support today will help us be here for patients for many more years to come.

Be A Friend – How to get involved

* 10k A Day Challenge – you can walk, run or cycle 10K every day for a week or a month. Or maybe you prefer to alternate by walking one day, running another and cycling the next. Perhaps you will get a team together made up of friends and family or work colleagues and take on the challenge together to clock up the kilometers? Find out more and sign-up here.

*Become a regular donor – when you make a monthly donation to the charity, you help us plan for the future. £10 per month could help support a cancer patient financially through Friends of the Cancer Centre’s Grant Programme. Find out more here.

*Make a donation – every donation to the charity makes a huge difference. £25 could help us provide 1 hour of vital care from one of the charity’s specialist nurses. You can donate online here.

*Become a Forever Friend – leaving a gift to the charity in your Will is an amazing way of continuing your support, helping future generations to live healthier, happier, longer lives. Please contact Ana Wilkinson on 07775688291 for an informal conversation or email [email protected] to request an information pack.
