Getting your colleagues and staff together can be a great way of raising money and there are lots of ways you can make your work based fundraising, well, fun!
From taking us on as your charity of the year, to making regular donations straight from your salary; there’s lots of ways you, your business and your colleagues can support us. If you would like to find out more about how you can support us at work, please call the team.
Why not take Friends of the Cancer Centre on as your company or organisation’s charity of the year?
As your charity of the year, we will help you plan events that will not only raise money for the charity, but also generate some fun and maybe even some friendly competition amongst your team. Check out some of the companies proudly supporting our work here.
If you would like to find out more about taking us on as your charity partner, get in touch with our Corporate Fundraising Manager Ana on 028 9069 9393 or email email@example.com
Did you know that you can support Friends of the Cancer Centre while you work?
Many companies let their staff select a charity to focus all their fundraising activities on each year. Staff then come together to hold their own events, or even take part in some of the charity's own events, to raise money for their charity of choice.
If your place of work has an employee charity of the year, we would love you to rally your colleagues together to vote for Friends of the Cancer Centre. Staff from Tennent’s NI and Eircom have been great supporters of ours, raising vital funds by holding their own events and taking on our challenges. Get in touch with us on 028 9069 9393 if you'd like to find out how you and your colleagues can get involved.
What is Payroll Giving
Payroll Giving is a great way to donate to Friends of the Cancer Centre, as your donation is made before any tax deductions. For example, if you want to give a regular gift of £5 only £4 will be deducted from your salary each month. You can find out if your employer operates the Give as Your Earn scheme by contacting your Payroll Department. If your employer isn't registered, please contact Friends of the Cancer Centre for information on alternative ways to give.
How do I join
It's very easy. Simply click here, complete the online form and submit. Once the form has been processed, Payroll Giving in Action will forward a copy to your employer who will then arrange for your donation to be deducted from your next available salary. Friends of the Cancer Centre will receive your donation on a regular basis at no cost to the charity.
Even if your place of work doesn’t have a charity partner or an employee charity, you can still rally your work mates and take on one of our challenges as a great team building exercise.
From skydives to walks in the park, we have events to suit everyone and anyone. Not only will you create a great buzz in the office, but you’ll also be raising money for a charity that helps local people with cancer.
We have events throughout the year and you can check out what we have coming up on our events page.
