The Club donated £1000 to the Trust on the night.
Ronan Kelly’s personal experience as a patient at the Cancer Centre inspired both he and his wife, Donna to lend their professional support to the charity and the result is a slick and informative DVD, voiced over by the couple, that will be used as an invaluable fundraising, training and awareness tool.
The DVD launch event, hosted by Ronan and Donna, recently took place at the Cancer Centre and was supported by hundreds of people who turned out to see the premiere showing of one of the first DVD fundraising tools in Northern Ireland to include signing and a choice of male and female voiceovers. One in seven people in Northern Ireland are deaf or hard-of-hearing and the charity wishes to communicate with that important audience as well as providing extra information and support for deaf cancer patients who need to attend the Centre.
Colleen Shaw, Fund Raising Manager said,
"The DVD is an important milestone for us, not just to celebrate and share what we have already achieved but to use that success to perpetuate and support the fantastic work that continues at the Cancer Centre.
