What is the Wig Walk?
A ten mile sponsored walk to raise money for cancer patients and their families taking place in Downings; a small fishing village in North Donegal.
A big challenge for many cancer patients is the loss of hair, which occurs as a result of chemotherapy treatment. All walkers are therefore asked to wear a wig during the walk to show solidarity and support for these patients. Wigs and t-shirts will be provided on the day.
Tea, coffee and sandwiches will be served in the afternoon, with entertainment scheduled in the Downings Bay Hotel for the evening.

Last year the Wig Walk raised over £14,000 for cancer patients and their families. Why not join us to beat this target and continue our fight against cancer in Northern Ireland.
Registration is £5 and we hope that each participant can raise £100 or more.

About Downings
Downings is a small fishing village in North Donegal. The Atlantic Drive is a beautiful 8 mile route starting in Downings Village, looping through the countryside, along the coastline and back to the village.
